Blonde hair has always maintained its presence in the beauty world. Regardless of the year, blonde hair seems to be a constant. We’ve all seen different shades and textures of blonde hair color throughout the years. If you’re thinking about making a change to your hair color to go lighter into the blonde hues, or you’re already a blonde and you just want an update you’re in luck. We’re sharing a little hair inspiration with you today, with ideas on how to go about refreshing and modernizing blonde hair.
Adding Copper or Rose Gold into the Mix
Blonde hair is always a stunning color to choose for hair color, but if you’re looking for a way to create a more refreshed and modern feel to blonde hair adding copper and/or rose gold hints throughout the blonde color is one of the latest ways to do exactly that. Copper and rose gold add a warmth to blonde hair in a totally unique way. Both color undertones add an updated feel to blonde hair, and we’ve really never seen blonde color with these hues added to the mix. The addition of the other colors not only adds warmth, but also definition because the colors are generally added in a ‘highlighted’ application method.
It may seem odd to refresh and create modern feel to blonde hair by adding in dark roots, but it really does do the trick! While all over blonde hair color will always be a show stopper, adding some great definition and a more modern feel to your all over blonde hair color with darker roots is an edgy mix. It creates an ombre and more effortless type of feel to your hair color, which is perfect for the summer months where we often feel a bit more relaxed. Natural, more undone hair colors and looks have been a major theme this year and adding darker roots to your blonde hair is a great way to add to that element.
If you’re more interested in the all over blonde hair colors, the icey blonde look could be what you were looking for. Generally in the past blonde hair color has always been about adding warmth to the undertones to create a more, well…warm look. But this year the modern blonde hair color is something a bit different. The icey blonde color is all the rage with celebs like Hilary Duff and Nicole Kidman rocking it. Essentially, the icey blonde hair color is an all over color that’s the same throughout the hair (no highlights or lowlights added in) and the color is done with a cooler more beige tone to the mix rather than the warmth that’s been popular in seasons in the past. This creates a more flat type of color, but it feels completely different and updated. Oddly, even though the color is a bit flatter without highlights it feels refreshing and modern when pulled off in the right way.
