It’s 2017 and with the advancement of technology and social media, it can be difficult for teens and tweens to really determine what styles are age appropriate. There are a lot of fun events that are going to be coming up in the next few months for the teen and tween age group. Choosing party hair that’s fun and youthful can be a bit overwhelming. We did a bit of searching and found some incredibly fun party hair that looks great on teens and tweens and thought we would share it with you–in case you need some inspiration.
Side Braid Into Low Bun
There’s something about braids that we just can’t get enough of, and they’re perfect for the teens and tweens of the world. If you’re looking for party hair that’s easy to achieve but not lacking in the style department this is a great look to try out. Leaving a few pieces framing the face, simply add a braid starting at the top of your part (side parts work best here) and working your way down the side of your head to create a side braid. Create the braid all the way to the bottom of the hair. After you do that pull back the rest of your hair into a low bun. Once you’ve created the low bun, wrap the end of the braid around the base of the bun and secure. Pretty simple, right? Simple, but not lacking any style or party feel at all!
Wavy or Curly Hair With a Headband
This is another hair look that’s super easy to achieve, but perfect for a party look. Create a gorgeous texture in your hair with waves or curls, and add a bit of volume by teasing your hair at the crown of your head. Once you’ve done all that, and added some styling product add your favorite wrap headband around your head. Place it in a way that it sits on top of your hair and at the top of your forehead. There are so many unique and fun headbands, it’s going to be the star of the party and your hair is going to be spot on.
Twisted Half Up
Half up hair styles are always a head turner, they can be worn casual or to a party. Another favorite party look for tweens and teens is the twisted half up hair style. This can be worn with hair that’s been curled, crimped, straightened, whatever you like. Once your hair is the texture that you like, tease it at the crown to add a bit of volume. After doing that simply take a small section of hair from each side of the hair and twist the hair to literally created twists in the hair. Once you’ve done that just secure the pieces with bobby pins. If you want to add a little something extra to it, you can add a pin or flower accessory to the middle of the twists to add a little glam detail for the party look.
