Some of the most iconic celebrities to ever pass through time came from the 80’s era. There were so many individuals who set the tone for the way things are today – from music, to movies, to style and fashion, makeup and hair. We have got to give it to the people of the 80’s, whether you love them or hate them. They sure did know how to make a statement, didn’t they?
Today, Lionesse would like to take a little while to discuss some of our favorite celebrities of the 80’s, and detail some of their contributions both to their profession as well as to the fashion, beauty, or hair world they contributed to.

Brooke Shields
Who didn’t love the adorable, beautiful Brooke Shields during the 80’s? A fashion model and actress, this girl truly set the stage for classy beauty. Her long brown hair and gorgeous, infamously dark and natural eyebrows really set the tone for something to be admired. Today, eyebrows such as hers are something nearly all women want to achieve – thick, gorgeous, and natural looking.

Michael Jackson
This guy had it all: the moves, the voice, and the talent – not to mention, his crazy-cool fashion sense. If you never heard of him, please show us the rock you’ve been sleeping under. Michael Jackson got his beginnings in the showbusiness and music industry when he was just a little boy, in his family’s singing group, The Jackson Five. As he grew older, his fame only grew larger. He went on to become what we know him as today: The King of Pop. His infamous dance moves, ‘The Moon Walk’, could never quite be as replicated to perfection as his were – no matter how hard we try.

Madonna
Ahh, Madonna. Where should be begin? This pop icon took over the radio waves during the 1980s with her sultry lyrics, original voice, and wicked attitude. Known as the Queen of controversy, everyone loved her – and we were all waiting for what she might say or do next. Her style was impeccable and she definitely set the tone when it came to women’s fashion. Some of her styles were a bit out there, but what 80’s style wasn’t? Her hair and makeup always looked fashionable and very relevant to the era, and we adore her persistence.

Pat Benatar
The original bad girl of rock, Pat Benatar was integral in the movement for women’s equality in the rock world. Her sassy attitude and I-don’t-take-crap-from-any-man attitude made her inspirational to all women. She had great style, which was sort of cutting edge punk meets new wave, and set the tone for a new era of music.

Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle is as gorgeous today as she was in the 80’s. From modeling, to acting, this lovely lady had it all. Her gorgeous blonde hair was always styled fashionable for the time frame, and her usually natural, flawless makeup look was refreshing to see during a time of heavy painted on faces and layered on foundation. Her petite frame looked fabulous in nearly everything she wore, and her personality was as perfect as could be. We love you, Michelle!
