Ready to head back to school in style? It’s hard to believe it’s back to school time already but there’s always something a little exciting about heading back to school with new clothes and new style to show off in the halls. As always there are some new and exciting back to school hair trends to look forward to this school year. You’ve probably added some new clothes to your wardrobe, now it’s time to try out some of the hair trends that you’re drawn to. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite trends for back to school this year to get you started:

Sleek Ponytail
As you get back into the routine of getting up early and heading to class, easy yet stylish hair styles are a must to have in your arsenal. The sleek ponytail look is a major trend in hair across the board, but it’s also the perfect back to school hair style. Ponytails are easy to style in your hair, let’s be honest it’s a go to for many of us. The difference is the sleek ponytail look has a slicked back type of vibe to it. Adding gel to your hair to keep all the flyaways down and styling your ponytail as straight as possible is going to help you truly accomplish this look.

Braids into a Bun
This is a look you can likely style at night before heading to bed, so you don’t have to fuss with it in the morning-and really what’s NOT to love about a hair style like that? Braids are another huge trend right now with no signs of going anywhere anytime soon. This back to school season it’s all about styling your hair into multiple braids that lead into a bun or ponytail look. It’s the perfect way to keep your hair out of your face, but in an edgy and stylish way. Start by sectioning your hair according to how many braids you want to style, it can be anything from one braid on the top or side of your head to multiple braids across all of your hair. Once you’ve created the braids simply tie the rest of your hair back into the ponytail or bun.

Texturized Hair
You may have noticed that this year has really been focused on celebrating and honoring the natural texture of your hair. Since we know you’re going to want to sleep as long as possible in the morning, texturized hair is another great hair trend to try out this school year. You don’t always want to wear your hair up, but styling your hair by bringing out the natural texture is a great way to wear your hair down. After washing your hair, using a diffuser is the best way to honor your hair’s natural texture. Don’t forget to apply some texturizing product to your hair to help bring out the texture of your hair. The diffuser helps to dry your hair and keep it a bit more tame, while allowing you to keep your texture as it is.
